WHAT WE DO
Our Mission
The best stories deserve the best representation.
Who We Are
Josh and Scott met on the news beat when they gained a mutual respect for each other’s visual storytelling skills. They immediately started nerding out over the shots they captured and stories they told, cementing their friendship.
Their bond only grew stronger when Josh’s dog, Luna, met Scott’s new puppy, Kima, who instantly became besties.
So it was a no-brainer when they entered into business together that they should be the namesakes of the company. Their playful energy and their ride-or-die relationship reminds Josh and Scott to appreciate every moment of what they do and stay true to the people they do it for.
Meet US
Josh Rogers
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, I lived in Virginia, New Jersey and Virginia again before my family eventually moved back to the Pittsburgh suburbs, where I started and finished high school. The different ways of life and multitude of people I met as a kid greatly influenced my curiosity in the world.
When I graduated high school in 2014, I already knew I wanted to be involved in video production. I had volunteered with the high school’s closed-circuit television station, called “PRTV”, doing play-by-play for football and basketball games, operating cameras and directing shows, and simply loved it. The adrenaline and need to make decisions in the moment had me hooked.
In college, I ended up transferring from the University of Missouri to Ohio University, where I gained live TV experience at WOUB-TV, the on-campus PBS station. This is where I first shot a football game while working for the award-winning show “Gridiron Glory”, a moment that would prove seminal for me. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, I furthered my education by going to my parents' alma mater, the University of Maryland, where I graduated with a Master of Journalism with a specialization in sports.
A mentor in school helped me land my first job at WCTI in New Bern, NC, which began a whirlwind three years in which I lived in five cities. I worked in front of and behind the camera, capturing daily news through my lens and reporting on it on live television. I stood on the Charleston, SC, battery as massive waves crashed over the seawall and slapped my face, leaving my cheeks stinging. I covered regional and national court cases. I investigated local authorities in Shreveport, LA, bringing light to their missteps and voice to the people who needed one. And most importantly, I learned everything I could about each place I lived so I could truly talk to and connect with people and understand what they could contribute to every story I produced. I earned multiple awards for my work, carving out my space as someone who got people to be comfortable on camera and capturing each story in its own innovative, unique way.
The fifth and final city on my journey was Minneapolis, where I landed in 2019. I moved here to shoot and edit sports for KARE11, realizing my dream from way back in high school. I learned to love the sidelines (and bowels) of almost every stadium in the NFL, as well as many arenas in the NHL, NBA and other local arenas and stadiums. This is also how I met Scott – in the bowels of Maruicci Arena on the University of Minnesota campus, attending a Gophers Women’s Volleyball press conference.
Ultimately, I put together years of thinking on my feet, problem-solving and storytelling to land a job at UnitedHealth Group, where I learned what it takes to create high-touch content for brands, executives and corporations.
LuKi Productions is the culmination of all these skills and experiences, put together to find the best way to serve your brand’s goals and your business’ objectives.
Scott Wise
Born and raised in Sheboygan, WI, I stayed home after high school to get my Associate’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan. Storytelling allows me an avenue to express my creativity.
I wanted to learn more about storytelling, which led me to broadcast news, television, and video storytelling. I decided to attend the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. At UW-Milwaukee, I joined the student-run news production “Panthervision.” After earning my Bachelor’s Degree in 2014, I started working at WISN in Milwaukee, the local ABC affiliate.
This was the beginning of my story in television news. In 2015, I was promoted to a full-time staff videographer, launching my career, which took me to Charlotte, Sacramento, and eventually the Twin Cities. It’s here where my life and career have truly come together.
For over four years, I worked as a sports videographer for KSTP, where I earned a reputation as one of the top sports shooters in the market, capturing Minnesota Vikings games from the sidelines. It was sports that brought Josh and me together, and it’s what gave us the common thread for us to connect.
I then went on to KMSP in the Twin Cities as a news storyteller, where I won an Emmy Award for my work on the “Minnesota Vikings: Showtime!” documentary.
As in all good stories, our paths led us apart professionally, but our friendship strengthened. Our paths have now brought us back together, ready to capture and create the moments that are crucial to your brand, mission, and beliefs. Storytelling is my passion.
I truly love the work that storytelling entails. I bring that passion and dedication to every single shot, because every story matters.
